Dutch Folklore
A significant part of Dansensemble Phoenix’s repertoire is dedicated to Dutch folklore. Our dances bring traditional events and everyday scenes to life, offering a vivid portrayal of Dutch culture. The traditional costumes, each representing a different region of the Netherlands, add an authentic and colorful touch. Phoenix performs a diverse range of Dutch folk dances, presented in a refined and stylized manner.
Sharing cultures
Dansensemble Phoenix presents its full Dutch program abroad at CIOFF® festivals. With an open mind and genuine curiosity for other traditions, we embrace cultural exchange while proudly sharing our heritage. Connecting with fellow artists and learning more about their folklore is a true highlight of our summers. Phoenix has already performed at festivals in France, China, Hungary, Slovakia, and Portugal, and looks forward to many more international encounters.
Workshops Dutch Folk Dance
Sharing cultures also means teaching Dutch folk dance! Our group has skilled teachers who can lead dance workshops. These folk dance workshops are always adapted to the audience, and can be accompanied by our live orchestra. Workshops are the best occasion to break a sweat and make unforgettable memories!
